Biography: Mala Nivedita Sharma-Singh is known as "Ms Bollywood" because of her work in the Bollywood Film Industry. She has worked with the biggest Directors from India and and has had the honour of meeting and working with the Biggest names in the Indian Film Industry such as Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwariya Rai, Salman Khan and many more. She has been the Casting Director for films shot in Canada and also acted and starred as a lead actress in a Reality show on Slice Network. Mala was born in London, England. Her father was a prominent Toronto lawyer and her mother worked with the Ministry of the Attorney General's office. Mala migrated to Canada when she was five. Mala attended York University major where she studied Political Science and Sociology. Mala Worked as a Reporter for Chin Radio when she was 18. Mala also worked for Rogers Television on a show called "Canadian Spectrum" as an interviewer in Arts and Entertainment. Mala later produced and directed and hosted "Fashion Asia" on ATN. She then Founded SAMA Model and Talent Agency with her husband Ray in 1997. In addition to Event, Model and Talent Management, SAMA has provided Casting, Script-Writers and Production Team members for International & Local Films & Commercials, Print work, Fashion Shows and Music Videos. Mala Hosted and Produced two television shows on City TV and Global Television called Bollywood Masala. Mala started working for the for the Provincial Government at the Old City Hall Chief Judge's office where she did Law Research for 52 Judges and she then began a successful career with the Federal Government of Canada in the Department of Citizenship and Immigration as an Immigration Officer for 25 years. Mala has received many accolades for her work both in Film and the Federal Government. Mala has been involved with many Political Campaigns and has successfully raised thousands for many worthwhile charities such as United Way, Heart and Stroke, the Canadian Cancer Society and Sick Children's Hospital. Mala is happily married and has two daughters Gita and Sarita.
