Biography: Charlene Lindsay was born in Northern Alberta to a mother of Cree origins and a father of British descent. Throughout her career, she has focused on conflict resolution and its direct relationship to economic development, with a particular focus on mining, forestry, and oil extraction initiatives. She assists the SDNR team with environmental consulting, projects that are geared towards advancing renewable energy and job creation for people on reserves. After earning a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree from York University, Charlene received a formal acceptance into the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa. After a brief hiatus, she returned to pursue a Master's Degree from Schulich School of Business and the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York. In addition to pursuing her Ph.D in Geography, she is also a lover of all things fashion and fitness, and she spends much of her spare time in the gym, writing her book, and hosting major fundraising events.
